First time for us, but wont be a last!!! Honestly we had difficulty in picking our meals, everything sounded so good!!! I ended up with the 2 meat combo, ribs and pulled chicken. My sides were the apple baked beans and slaw. He got half rack of ribs, baked spud and slaw! Our server was helpful in describing sides, vinegar slaw etc. As we waited for our food, we saw enormous plates of food for other diners. Those that were leaving all had take home boxes! Alas our food came!!! Ribs were a dry rub, with a dish of sauce. Beans were sweet and so flavorful. The slaw was equally as good!!! Now for the meats!!!! Omg the ribs were nicely done, juicy and extremely tender and did fall off the bone! The pulled chicken was juicy and tender and just so good!!! But honestly, the ribs had my focus!! Cornbread was sweet and tied in wonderfully!!! He sat eating quietly, which meant he only came up for air!!! He devoured the ribs, and sides!!! We both laughed when our server asked for dessert!!! Yes we both took home boxes of food we couldnt finish as other customers did. We both enjoyed our meal so much, we took pics to send to our friends for future visits!!! We will be back again, to savor more dishes!!! So nice to have a class act bbq in this area!!!
This place has incredible flavor across the whole menu. The service is friendly. Bring the family for small gatherings too. A local staple to Canaan. Don't forget to try "Mom's carrot cake" for dessert.
Stopped in on a whim on Friday afternoon. The deep fried ribs did not disappoint. The cheese corn was out of this world. The brisket was great as well. Only wish they had more variety of bbq sauces. I'd like to go back when there are more people. I pictured that maybe someone singing would liven the atmosphere up a bit.
My new favorite restaurant in the Upper Valley! The sides were amazing (the cheesy corn and maple syrup Mac and cheese are a must try). And the bbq is the best I've had in the north; better than Big Fatty's in WRJ! And all their desserts are made in house! The pumpkin roll wasn't my favorite but the carrot cake was delicious. It is a bit more expensive than most restaurants in the area, but it is well worth the quality of food, especially when you consider the proportions of the food.
Very, very good. This place is just what Canaan needs. My wife had wings that she deemed 'better than [another popular, local place]. Ribs were falling-off-the-bone tender (St. Louis style, if that matters), Texas baked beans were terrific. Service was great, price was very reasonable and it was QUIET enough to hear each other without yelling. We'll be back......
Some of the best wings I’ve had. Great side choices. The brisket mac and cheese was a little on the small side portion wise for the price but overall a great restaurant.
Had a great meal tonight! The wings and deep fried ribs were absolutely delicious. Chef Ian was on point and they had some great local artist playing music as well. Would definitely recommend!
Tried for the first time tonight. Incredible service, food & portions. I loved the cute cocktails options. The lavender lemonade is so good! The cornbread is delicious & the meats are all good. There are so many options for sides & apps. We had the lava cake for dessert which was decadent. My sons favorite part of the meal :) will definitely be back!
